Each August, BAJC publishes a Yizkor Book of
Remembrance, with names of people you wish to have remembered
listed under your name at five dollars per name. If you had
names in the book last year but wish to make any changes
or additions, or if you did not have any names in the book
last year but want to have something in this year, please
let Faith know (faith@bajcvermont.org).
You can mail checks made out to BAJC, along with any needed
information, to BAJC (see address below).
The Book of Remembrance is used at the Yizkor service on
Yom Kippur, as well as at the other Yizkor services on Succot,
Passover, and Shavuot. In addition to the names of loved
ones remembered, the book contains prayers and meditations,
including a prayer for visiting graves and one for a family
yahrzeit ceremony. The book is distributed on Yom Kippur.
If you are not going to be at that Yizkor service, we can
mail it to you at your request.
