Social Action Committee Coffee Houses
Two important events sponsored by the BAJC Social Action committee will take place this Spring at our shul. Both are "coffee houses" where refreshments will be sold and speakers will present a program. The objective of the presentations will be to raise awareness and money for two important issues.
Sunday March 18th at 4:00 pm, will have two guest speakers from Malawi speaking about AIDS in their country. They will talk about a project that works with children with AIDS in Malawi, and will seek donations for that project.
Sunday May 13th from 4:00 - 5:30, when Tom White from the Cohen Center for Holocaust Studies in Keene will speak about the Jewish response to the genocide in Darfur.
